Thames Festival

When the sun comes out in London, the locals get out in force to soak up some rays. They tend to seek out any open public space that has a bit of grass, strip off their shirts and blind anyone passing by as the sun reflects off their pale bodies.
Or they head to the beach....

Nice beach you think? Must be somewhere remote where you can take your clothes off and have a swim, with no-one around to stare at your wobbly bits.... Or it could be on the banks of the Thames in the heart of the city.

The Thames festival was on this weekend, which is something like a street fair, but is along the banks of the river. Lots of stalls, street performers, food from all over the world, and about half of the city's population crammed into a thin strip of land between the riverside buildings and the brown waters of the river. Unfortuantely i'd already had Creole fishcakes before i saw the BBQ below......
